Individual psychotherapy sessions occur weekly.

Pre-marital therapy occurs weekly or bi-weekly.

Individual therapy sessions are 45 minutes and are $230.

Pre-marital therapy sessions are 75 minutes and are $300.

I meet with most patients virtually via a secure online platform. I also have limited availability for in-person treatment at my office space in the Honolulu area.

Growth Psych LLC is currently not in-network with any insurance companies so we do not bill your insurance. With PPO insurance, we are considered an out of network provider which means you could be reimbursed in full or in part. You can call your insurance provider to ask about mental health coverage. Most patients utilizing PPO plans for psychotherapy receive full or partial reimbursement. Upon request, Growth Psych can provide a superbill for clients to submit to their insurance.

Additionally, psychotherapy may be a qualifying expense if you have a Health Savings Account or a Flexible Spending Account. This option significantly reduces the cost of therapy as it is pre-taxed income.

Part of what makes therapy powerful is the confidentiality of the relationship which builds trust and vulnerability. Involving insurance companies inherently means sharing information regarding your mental health and treatment which jeopardizes confidentiality.

Another reason is that insurance panels require a diagnosis to be entered which becomes a permanent part of your medical record. For some, this may have consequences for career paths (e.g., pilot, police) or personal choices (e.g., gun ownership).

Finally, it is common for insurance panels to place limits on number of sessions or try to dictate treatment plans.

I accept payment via Venmo or Zelle for virtual treatment. For in-person treatment, payment may also be rendered via cash or check.
